Aunt Dorothy's 80th bash....

After months and months of fretting... its all over... how can that be... right down to the last log on the fire and the last person has not even left her party yet... as of a hour ago my cousin's bike was still in her driveway... he still passed out on her couch.. .now folks... thats a party!! who hooo we had so much fun. I even dressed up as Elvis to sing Happy Birthday to her!! The food was great, drinks were flowing and there were people I had not seen in years. I made a bet with Aunt Dorothy that there would be at least 50 people and she thought 40... we had 55 baby!!

Fridays

I took the day off today to get stuff done.... I have errands, cleaning and banking for Grandma.... I am home right now cleaning and LOVING IT!! I would love to work a longer 4 day week and have Fridays off!! Can you imagine having all your laundry done, groceries bought and a freaking clean house?? I could actually spend time with Aaron and Mark and not feel GUILTY about it... When I play with Aaron I am actually making lists in my head of what I need to accomplish next... which that list just piles and piles... I got up as if I was going to work and got ready, dropped off Aaron at School (Daycare), went to the bank and now I am cleaning... Whooooo Hoooo for me... I hope everyone has a great weekend... around my house its referred to as " that little thing called a weekend"....

It use to be that Aaron would love for me to read stories (good night moon, no no david, I love you, green eggs and ham) and then he would fall asleep with me rocking him... well folks he knows asks to go play in his bed with his friends... aren't they cute???

I am sure everyone knows that my husband knits... everyone has seen the sweaters and blankets and even the stockings... but because people have been buying them from Mark they are hanging in my living room so here they are... feels like Christmas in September?? ha!

1st free sample....

Okay here it is my first free sample that came in the mail... I am very excited about it and it was a nice surprise since I have been trying to get all kinds of free samples on line.

I get stopped in stores, asked my cashiers and till this day I have no idea what they are referring to... it always starts off "is that really your baby?" or "My Daughter would love your purse" and dummy me at the split second I forget that I am carrying about Aaron on my purse... so here is a pic of it... I got it as a gift from a coworker... its awesome... it came in a box from a company called snap tote. You go to their website and you can choose any pic you like, kid, vacation, dog .... and it come in the mail in a week. She got it for me from Best Buy and they are quite expensive but..... Best Buy does clearance them out... I also saw that now Costco has them under the photo button on their website!!!

Hot Pot and L M

Tonight my Sister in Law S's good friend LM was in town.... she is also from Taiwan and China. We always have a good time when we get together and catch up. This time she brought her sisters family and her mother was here from China. In Taiwanese we call Grandma's "ah ma" very easy huh?? Shufen prepared one of my favorite meals of all time.. "hot pot" its usually served for special occassions and the Chinese New Year. I added some pics so you can all see what it is... its like a dutch oven of boiling soup and then you keep adding more stuff to it. Its alot of fish and pork and vegetables. We than take the food and put it on a plate and we dip it in a special sauce which I could live on.... anyways I am still so full and looking forward to another hot pot soon!!
